Monroe's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Mohawk with a sharp 14-0 win.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crosshill Christian). They were the clear victors by a 35-2 margin over Central Linn on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.
Isaac Folkert and Miles Lute made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Folkert pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Lute pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Folkert posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2025. At the plate, Folkert went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Lute went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Johan Phillips, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and two stolen bases. Those five runs gave him a new career-high. Carter Hinderks was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one double.
Crosshill Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .685. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Crosshill Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Monroe, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
