There's no place like home for Northwest Rankin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 48-36 victory over the Hancock Hawks on Saturday. The game marked the Cougars' most dominant win of the season.

Northwest Rankin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deshawn Dillon, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Samuel, who had eight points and five boards.

Northwest Rankin pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hancock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Northwest Rankin will take on Canton in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hancock, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lamar Christian at 1:00 p.m. on the 29th.
