AJ Reynolds and Co. Win Seventh in a Row
Martinsville picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to AJ Reynolds. Reynolds did his part (and then some), throwing for 327 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 58 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'.
Martinsville pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Reynolds' next match is against Mooresville on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.

Bo Polston Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Decatur Central got the W thanks in part to Bo Polston playing the best football he has all season. Polston threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
It'll be Battle of the Birds when Hawks challenges Perry Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will pit Polston up against the Falcons' star signal caller Allen Zupan. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Big Game from Leugers As Franklin Community Fell 34-13
Franklin Community had to settle for second on Friday, but Alex Leugers sure wasn't going down easily. Despite the defeat, Leugers was still balling out as he rushed for 175 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 64 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards.
Leugers is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Greenwood on Friday. Leugers rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry the last time he and the Woodmen duked it out back in October of 2023.

The second Decatur Central player making an appearance here is Kasmir Hicks, and for good reason. He made a tackle. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 51 yards.

Luke Starnes Dazzles in Plainfield Victory
Luke Starnes's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his seventh-straight game with 113+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Franklin Community's probably not too fond of Starnes given he always seems to get the better of them. When Starnes last faced the Grizzly Cubs back in September of 2023, he rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns.
