Barnwell has gone 8-2 against Woodland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warhorses will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Barnwell's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Wednesday's struggle, when South Aiken hitters got past them. The Warhorses fell just short of the Thoroughbreds by a score of 13-12 on Wednesday. The Warhorses' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Cameron Austin put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April. He was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, five runs, and two stolen bases while going 4-for-4. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
In other batting news, Vinny Gibson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Hayden Pierce was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodland). Everything went their way against Hampton County on Monday as they made off with a 14-6 victory. The Wolverines not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21, 2024 (when they won 21-1).
JT Milligan was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hunter Morris, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Woodland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 2.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.
Woodland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Barnwell, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
Woodland's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Barnwell hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. It's a different story for Woodland, though, as they've only averaged .255. Will they be able to contain Barnwell's hitters?
Everything went Barnwell's way against Woodland when the teams last played back in April, as Barnwell made off with a 13-3 victory. Will the Warhorses repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
