The Gulliver Prep Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the True North Classical Academy Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Gulliver Prep is looking for their season's first victory.
Things were looking good for Gulliver Prep after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-3 to Immaculata-La Salle.

Gulliver Prep got a good showing from Landy Garcia, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave Garcia a new career-high.
At the plate, Alex Aparicio was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Brian Sanchez also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for True North Classical Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Pine Crest by a score of 8-5 on Thursday. The Titans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Aiden Santana looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Misael Uriepero, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Matias Fischer, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
True North Classical Academy pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs over those games. As for Gulliver Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
Gulliver Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against True North Classical Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gulliver Prep since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
