Upper Sandusky dropped down to 3-3 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains by a score of 4-3. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chieftains apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

As for Hopewell-Loudon, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games.

For Hopewell-Loudon's part, the team relied heavily on Collin Smith, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Jack Colatruglio also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Coming up, Upper Sandusky will head out on the road to face off against Carey at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hopewell-Loudon, they will square off against Lakota at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Chieftains' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
