The Pataula Charter Academy Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 80-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miller County. Pataula Charter Academy has not had much luck with Miller County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
It was another big night for Andrew Keown, who scored 38 points for Miller County. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Keown has scored all season. Jayden McCray was another key contributor, scoring 22 points.
Pataula Charter Academy dropped their record down to 5-13 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Miller County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pataula Charter Academy will face off against Stewart County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stewart County has now lost 15 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 17. As for Miller County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Quitman County at 3:30 p.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Quitman County is ranked 431st, while Miller County is ranked 434th).
