The Duncan Wildkats have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Superior on Saturday and snuck past 45-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Duncan also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Duncan found their leader in underclassman Isiah Sumner, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tanner Giacoletti, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Duncan's win bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Superior, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-20.
Duncan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Superior and Hayden will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
