Issac Day Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is West Tallahatchie's Issac Day, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Day rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. His longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards.
The win was the third in a row for West Tallahatchie, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Day and West Tallahatchie will challenge Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Another West Tallahatchie player making an appearance on this list is Tristian Hill. He wasn't messing around on Friday, rushing for 163 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The match was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season. His longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards.
On the season, Hill has averaged 117.2 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 58.25 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 115.13 rushing yards.

A Season-Best Performance from Dekevion Miller Leads South Delta over Leland
On Friday, South Delta got the W thanks in part to Dekevion Miller playing the best football he has all season. Miller rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 100 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
Miller is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against West Bolivar on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Miller saw the Eagles), he rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 45 receiving yards.

South Delta Gets a Boost from Powell in 26-0 Victory
Another South Delta player making an appearance on this list is Marvin Powell. He rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards.
On the season, Powell has averaged 57.7 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had four rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to nine.
