The Greeneview Rams won the last time they faced the Madison Plains Golden Eagles, and things went their way on Saturday too. Greeneview blew past Madison Plains 56-31. Given Greeneview's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while Madison Plains is ranked 595th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Madison Plains saw an underclassman step up: Kenzie Vallery scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Reeves, who scored seven points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Greeneview and bumps their season record up to 12-6. As for Madison Plains, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Greeneview will head out on the road to face off against Triad at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Madison Plains, they will be playing at home against Grandview Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
