The Bradwell Institute Tigers will be playing at home against the Greenbrier Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bradwell Institute will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Bradwell Institute pushed their score all the way to 33 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 41-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jenkins.
Bradwell Institute's loss came about despite a quality game from Christopher Garrett, who rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryant Thomas, who picked up 113 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Greenbrier, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They were beaten by Coffee 56-7 on Friday. Greenbrier was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Bradwell Institute's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 Coffee and 7-2 Ware County (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70.4% over those games). As for Greenbrier, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.
Bradwell Institute beat Greenbrier 20-9 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Will Bradwell Institute repeat their success, or does Greenbrier have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
