Genoa Christian Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Tree of Life Christian Trojans at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th.
On Saturday, Genoa Christian Academy came up short against Northside Christian and fell 53-42. Genoa Christian Academy has not had much luck with Northside Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Tree of Life Christian waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They put the hurt on Granville Christian Academy with a sharp 53-33 victory. Tree of Life Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.
Tree of Life Christian can attribute much of their success to Micah Kemp, who scored 14 points along with three steals, and Ronald Amoah, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Amoah has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Waters, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Genoa Christian Academy bumped their record down to 5-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Tree of Life Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
Genoa Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Tree of Life Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, losing 68-49. Thankfully for Genoa Christian Academy, David Crow (who scored 18 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
