The Ellicott Thunderhawks lost against the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Ellicott took a serious blow against Banning Lewis Academy, falling 48-6. Ellicott was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.
Leading Banning Lewis Academy to victory were Chase Riehle and Joseph Bjegovich. Riehle rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while Bjegovich rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns. Bjegovich was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Ellicott and nudges their season record down to 2-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-2 Colorado Springs Christian (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 88.9% over those games). As for Banning Lewis Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Ellicott does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Banning Lewis Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
