There's no place like home for the Hadley Luzerne Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They strolled past Fort Ann with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 49-32. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hadley Luzerne also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Fort Ann still got an impressive performance from Javier Hernandez, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Kadynce Cutter, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Hadley Luzerne's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Fort Ann, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hadley Luzerne will take on Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitehall presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hadley Luzerne in New York (Whitehall is ranked 328th, while Hadley Luzerne is ranked 732nd). As for Fort Ann, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Doane Stuart at 6:00 p.m. Doane Stuart knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Fort Ann likes a good challenge.
