If The Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes were riding high off their 41-0 takedown of the St. Edward Green Wave last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Marian Central Catholic took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wheaton Academy on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Brandon Kiebles had an outrageously good game for Wheaton Academy as he rushed for 217 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. Kiebles' longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. Brett Kasper was another key contributor, throwing for 108 yards and three touchdowns.
Marian Central Catholic has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Wheaton Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Marian Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wheaton Academy is also done with their season.
