Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Winchester Community Golden Falcons, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by Eastern Hancock 47-14 on Friday. Winchester Community's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Adam Moore threw for 91 yards and a touchdown.
Eastern Hancock was led to victory by Elijah Edon and Mark Kube. Edon rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns, while Kube rushed for 227 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Kube was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
Winchester Community's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Eastern Hancock, their victory was their fourth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 8-4.
Winchester Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eastern Hancock will head out on the road to face off against Southmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Southmont is ranked 111th, while Eastern Hancock is ranked 125th).
