Oak Grove fell victim to Live Oak and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Acorns, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Meanwhile, while Lincoln put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Del Mar. The Lions were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over the Dons. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.
Eva Vasquez and Carina Reuterskiold were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Vasquez pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Reuterskiold struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Vasquez went 1-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double, while Reuterskiold went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits Reuterskiold has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Jocelyn Hernandez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season. Olivia Diaz was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Lincoln kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Oak Grove suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Lincoln in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
