Millard and Parowan are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. Millard got a massive performance out of Zach Higgins, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Higgins has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Dawson Jensen, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Parowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 18-6 to South Sevier.
Parowan saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyrel Vest, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Vest also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
Millard's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Parowan, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Everything went Millard's way against Parowan in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Millard made off with a 12-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Millard since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
