Pace had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Oviedo Lions on Thursday as they made off with a 7-0 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

The victory was the ninth in a row for Pace, bringing their record up to 22-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Oviedo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-17.

Looking ahead, Pace will square off against Tocoi Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 2.5, the Toros 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Oviedo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
