Advanced Math & Science Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Marlborough Panthers with a sharp 16-6 victory on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.
Brooke Laudate was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Kathleen Galvin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.
Advanced Math & Science Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They got five more hits than Marlborough's also-impressive total of 12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Advanced Math & Science Academy will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Bay Path RVT at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marlborough, they will take on Groton-Dunstable at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
