Bacon Academy is 7-0 against Windham since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Bacon Academy Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Windham Whippets at 2:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bacon Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They secured a 41-36 W over Woodstock Academy.
Meanwhile, Windham can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They breezed by Parish Hill at home to the tune of 82-18. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Windham has managed all season.
It was another big night for Hailey Flores, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Aniya Jenkins, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Bacon Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Windham, their victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.
Everything came up roses for Bacon Academy against Windham in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 60-32 victory. Does Bacon Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Windham turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
