Hagen Hughes Goes Supernova in Azle Win
Hagen Hughes was instrumental in extending Azle's winning streak to six on Friday. Hughes was unstoppable, rushing for 222 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 57 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Azle pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Hughes and Azle will challenge Ryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Gavin Beard Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Gavin Beard produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Aledo to the win on Friday. Beard threw for 290 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 3.2 passing touchdowns per game. What's more, he also racked up ten rushing yards, the mosthe's had since back in September of 2023.
The win (which was Aledo's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Beard and Aledo will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Richland at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Derrek Vowell Turns in Season-Best Performance
Azle was led to victory by Derrek Vowell, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Vowell threw for 269 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes.
