It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the West Jefferson Roughriders can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Garaway on Friday, falling 42-7. West Jefferson's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Owen Warner threw for 169 yards and a touchdown. Mason Book was his top target, picking up 101 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Dillon Soehnlen was his usual excellent self, rushing for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also picking up 64 receiving yards. Soehnlen was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 64 yards. Wyatt Wallick also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
West Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Garaway, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
West Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Garaway will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Kirtland at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Kirtland is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
