The Burlington Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 71-62 to Stratton. The contest was a 31-31 toss-up at halftime, but Burlington couldn't quite close it out.
Despite the loss, Burlington still got an impressive performance from Keziah Williams, who almost dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Williams hasn't dropped below 19 points for five straight games. Stanton Cure was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.
Stratton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cyler Notter, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Notter hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Von Isenbart, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Stratton, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Burlington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-37 win vs. Evangel Christian Academy on the 10th. Stratton has also already played their next game, a 73-50 defeat against Simla on the 9th.
