The Flanagan/Woodland Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Roanoke-Benson. Flanagan/Woodland has not had much luck with Roanoke-Benson recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Flanagan/Woodland still got an impressive performance from Ella Derossett, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Palaschak, who scored nine points along with seven assists and two steals.
Flanagan/Woodland has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season. As for Roanoke-Benson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-22.
Flanagan/Woodland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-36 loss vs. LeRoy on the 8th. Roanoke-Benson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Peoria Heights at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. Roanoke-Benson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
