Baseball Recap: Enterprise Has No Trouble Against Noxubee County

While Enterprise put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Noxubee County. Everything went the Enterprise Bulldogs' way against the Noxubee County Tigers as the Enterprise Bulldogs made off with a 16-0 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Brody Smith made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. He has become a key player for Enterprise: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-7 otherwise.

In other batting news, Brody Blackburn was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Stone Griffin also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Enterprise was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Enterprise picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-8. As for Noxubee County, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Enterprise will challenge Sylva Bay Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sylva Bay Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Enterprise surely won't give up without a fight. As for Noxubee County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Noxubee County Tigers duke it out with Louisville Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
