Neuse Christian Academy had lost two consecutive heartbreakers to St. Thomas More Academy and they left with a heavy heart again  on Tuesday. The Neuse Christian Academy Lions were  outmatched by the St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors and fell  41-14. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Chancellors: they've now lost four in a row.
Neuse Christian Academy got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of  Lila Sarant and  Lyla Lindstrom, who each put up four points.   Morgan Little held things down on the boards with six rebounds.  She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
 St. Thomas More Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Winnie Dehring, who  posted six  points along with eight  steals and five  boards. Dehring has been hot, having  posted three or more  steals the last five times she's  played.  LIlian Marquardt was another key player,  almost  dropping  a double-double on 13 points and nine  rebounds.
Neuse Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for St. Thomas More Academy,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-9.
 Neuse Christian Academy will venture away from home to  take on Thales Academy Apex  at 5:45  p.m.  on Friday. As for St. Thomas More Academy, they will host Thales Academy Rolesville  at 5:15  p.m.  on Friday.
