Hahnville has gone a perfect 10-0 against Terrebonne recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Hahnville had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Academy of Our Lady on Wednesday. Hahnville never let Academy of Our Lady get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Emma Jackson was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Chaix, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Terrebonne). Everything went their way against East St. John on Tuesday as Terrebonne made off with a 22-1 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
BRALYN DEHART made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That one hit allowed gave her a new career-low. She was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, KALLIE LINER was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was JA'LISE STEWART, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double.
Terrebonne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory (which was Hahnville's third in a row) raised their record to 16-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Terrebonne, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9.
Everything went Hahnville's way against Terrebonne when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Hahnville made off with a 14-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hahnville since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
