Clearwater Central Catholic won the last time they faced Clearwater and things went their way on Friday too. The Marauders took down the Tornadoes 34-20. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Marauders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 91st).
Clearwater Central Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Khayse Barrett led the charge by throwing for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 57 yards. Luke Wilson was another key receiver, picking up 123 receiving yards and two TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Clearwater Central Catholic's defense and their three sacks. Kamryn Andrade was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Another thorn in Clearwater's side was Tyrique Harris, who made 15 total tackles and defended one pass.
When it comes to explaining why Clearwater lost, don't look at Jaylen White. Despite the final result, he threw for 208 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 100 yards. White's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. Isaiah Berrien got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
