The Molalla Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the Gladstone Gladiators at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Molalla has three straight victories, Gladstone has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, Molalla needed a bit of extra time to put away Hidden Valley. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Mustangs. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by just one run.
Brooklyn Brady was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
