Softball Recap: Durand Has No Trouble Against Forreston

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Bede, Durand was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Forreston Cardinals with a sharp 11-1 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Durand is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Forreston, their defeat was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

Coming up, Forreston will take on Hiawatha at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Durand will be paying especially close attention to Forreston's contest: after Forreston faces off against Hiawatha, they'll take on Durand again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
