On Friday, Basha faced Hamilton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Basha Bears took down the Hamilton Huskies 35-20. 35 seems to be a good number for the Bears as the  squad scooped up a  victory with the same number of  points in their previous game.

 Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from   Rich Lucero Jr., who rushed for 53 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 143 yards and a touchdown. That's the most  rushing yards  Lucero Jr. has posted since back in October of 2023.
 Basha's victory was  their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Hamilton, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 5-1.
 Basha will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chandler at 7:00  p.m.  on October 25th. Basha is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 38  points per game  this season. As for Hamilton, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  42-20  victory against Perry on the 18th.
