4A Far West recap Oct. 30, 2012
North Bend/Oregon Coast Tech extended the longest winning streak in 4A Far West this week by beating Siuslaw, 34-20. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Bulldogs.
Douglas led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Sutherlin. Jordan Shaffer threw for 212 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 102 yards in the win.
Douglas' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Shaffer has thrown for 1782 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Riley Lavin has 36 catches for 452 yards. Nate Vosika leads the league in rushing with 686 yards.
North Bend/Oregon Coast Tech made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,401 from 3,850. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 34-20 victory over the Vikings last week.
