4A Region 3 recap September 17, 2013
Holtville scaled the state rankings by moving to 296 from 322 this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region 3. The Bulldogs were able to make move up by falling to Dadeville 32-13.
Elmore County lost to Central of Clay County 20-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Panthers' Michael Walls and Javon Moore have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Walls has thrown for 193 yards this season, while Moore has 9 catches for 154 yards. C. J. Tolbert from the Tigers leads the league in rushing with 317 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Dadeville takes on second place Childersburg.
Two of the top units in 4A Region 3 will face off this week when Dadeville takes on Childersburg. Richard White's team's offense has scored 77 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Tigers have allowed only 13 on the year.
