Football Recap: Alyssa Deanda's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hemet over Poly

The Hemet Bulldogs came up short against the Poly Bears on Tuesday and fell 19-12. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Hemet lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alyssa DeAnda, who rushed for 48 yards and one score, and also threw for 134 yards and one TD. A healthy portion of that aerial production (81 yards to be exact) went to Jay'Anna Foster, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hemet fell to 5-1. As for Poly, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Hemet will head out on the road to face off against San Jacinto Valley Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poly, they will be playing at home against Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
