Section 9 C-I recap Nov. 7, 2012
O'Neill moved up to 88 from 131 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 9 C-I. The Raiders were able to make move up by besting Liberty 35-14.
O'Neill took down the Indians 35-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jerry Nasi ran for 248 yards in the win.
Liberty's dynamic duo of Quinn Jackson and Ryan Henry proved tough for Anthony Finochio's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jackson threw for 104 yards and two touchdowns and Henry had 63 yards receiving. Atwoun Ackerley helped Liberty's passing attack out by catching three balls for 29 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Keegan West and Nasi the Raiders have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. West leads the league in passing with 1175 yards, while Nasi has rushed for 1657 yards this season. Burke Catholic's Mike Kelly leads the league in receiving yards with 618 on 28 catches.
Matt Przybocki has rushed for 981 yards on 138 carries so far this year.
O'Neill made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,062 from 5,209. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 35-14 victory over John Wilhelm's team last week.
