Stringtown and Tushka are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Stringtown Tigers' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Tushka Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on December 14th. Tushka took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Stringtown, who comes in off a win.
Stringtown has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Caney on Saturday as Stringtown made off with a 53-31 victory.
Meanwhile, Tushka came up short against Valliant on Tuesday and fell 53-41.
The losing side was boosted by Tagen Simon, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The matchup was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was DJ Alberda, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Tushka struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Stringtown's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4. As for Tushka, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Stringtown strolled past Tushka in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a score of 68-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Stringtown since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
