The Jensen Beach Falcons waltzed into Thursday's match with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against Martin County by a score of 14-7. This was payback for Jensen Beach, who suffered a 27-22 loss the last time these two teams met.
Jensen Beach can attribute much of their success to Dennis Palmer Jr., who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Jensen Beach pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Port St. Lucie and 2-8 Central (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 34.6% over those games). As for Martin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Jensen Beach will look to defend their home field on November 10th against Rockledge at 7:00 p.m. Martin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
