The Maeser Prep Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by American Heritage 58-27. Maeser Prep Academy has not had much luck with American Heritage recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Maeser Prep Academy had strong showings from Autumn Dossey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds, and Octavia Mosher, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Maeser Prep Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for American Heritage, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.
Maeser Prep Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against American Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (American Leadership Academy is ranked 122nd, while Maeser Prep Academy is ranked 130th). As for American Heritage, they will head out on the road to face off against Draper APA at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. American Heritage is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
