Emersen Mead was nothing short of spectacular: she almost dropped a triple-double on 16 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. It was the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Cameryn Sommervold was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Groton's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6. As for Dakota Valley, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 12-6.
