The Steinbrenner Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Lennard Longhorns at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Steinbrenner is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Steinbrenner gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Robinson by a score of 11-7. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Jackson Winterberg looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

02/13/25 vs Armwood | 3 |
03/29/25 @ Hillsborough | 2 |
03/15/25 vs Robinson | 2 |
03/08/25 vs Wharton | 2 |
On the hitting side, Nick Osborne was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Will Hoblitzell, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Steinbrenner kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lennard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Sumner on Tuesday.
Lennard also got a great performance from Jv Brennick as he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Brennick has become a key player for the Longhorns: the team is 4-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Lennard's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Newman, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Lennard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Steinbrenner, their record is now 12-9.
Steinbrenner couldn't quite get it done against Lennard when the teams last played back in February of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
