Carroll's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against DeKalb as they made off with a 6-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Barons: they've now won seven in a row.
The result came thanks to Emilia Garcia's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tessa Patterson was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaelyn Kinsey, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 16 runs the game before, Wawasee was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against Mishawaka, falling 19-2. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cavemen: they've now lost eight in a row.
Audra Weaver was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and one stolen base.
Wawasee's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Wawasee's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Carroll hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. It's a different story for Wawasee, though, as they've only averaged .229. Will they be able to contain Carroll's hitters?
