Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Skates Past Badger State Baptist with Ease

Heritage Christian was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Badger State Baptist on Saturday. The Heritage Christian Defenders blew past Badger State Baptist, posting a 67-37 victory. The Defenders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 24 points or more this season.

Andrew Regnerus continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Ophoff, who posted eight points.

Heritage Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Heritage Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Badger State Baptist, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Heritage Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 46-40 win against State Line Christian on the 18th. As for Badger State Baptist, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oakhill Christian at 6:30 p.m. on February 11th.
