After flying high against Hillsdale last Thursday, Waynedale came back down to earth. The Waynedale Golden Bears took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norwayne Bobcats on Saturday. The Golden Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Norwayne found their leader in freshman Hannah Froelich, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Froelich has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Allie Demassimo, who posted 11 points and four steals.
Waynedale's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Norwayne, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Waynedale will square off against Dalton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Norwayne has already played their next game, a 55-13 victory against Mapleton on the 20th.
