Softball Recap: Homewood Wins Going Away Against Parker

While Homewood put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Parker. The Homewood Patriots blew past the Parker Thundering Herd 16-0. Considering the Patriots have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Elise Meacham was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. She also brought in three RBI, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Allie Stuman, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, five RBI, and one run.

Homewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.

Homewood's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Parker, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.

Coming up, Homewood will be taking part in a tournament against Hartselle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Parker, they will take on Carver Birmingham in a tournament on Friday.
