Lexington had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Tanner on Tuesday. The Golden Bears put the hurt on the Rattlers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Bears in their matchups with the Rattlers: they've now won five in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lexington took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-8, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Kathleen Moncus and Cooper Knox, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Katelyn Sullivan and her 23 assists. Molly Cate Davis controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Lexington's win bumped their record up to 15-13. As for Tanner, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will venture away from home to square off against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tanner, they will challenge Buckhorn at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
