Sadly, the Tomahawk Hatchets are still looking for their first win of the season after 20 matchups. They were beaten by Mosinee 109-26 on Friday. Tomahawk was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 77-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mosinee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Treve Stoffel, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stoffel has scored all season. Landen Thomer was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Tomahawk dropped their record down to 0-19-1 with that loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mosinee, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tomahawk will take on Phillips at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mosinee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Xavier at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Xavier is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
