Urbana and Centennial are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Urbana Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Centennial Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Urbana is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
Last Saturday, Urbana lost to Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin on the road by a decisive 60-41 margin. Urbana was down 49-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Centennial's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Peoria. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Centennial in their matchups with Peoria: they've now lost six in a row.
Urbana's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 18-10.
Urbana came up short against Centennial in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 51-44. Can Urbana avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
