The Benson Bobcats waltzed into Tuesday's match with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 49-41 victory over Bisbee. This was payback for Benson, who suffered a 56-46 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Benson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamey Darwin, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten steals. The game was Darwin's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Foy, who dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 12 rebounds, and ten steals.
Benson's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Bisbee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Benson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Douglas at 9:00 a.m. on December 14th. Bisbee will be home for the holidays to greet Pima at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Pima will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
