Horizon's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aiden Greene, who scored 16 points. Greene continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brady Greene, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Leading Broomfield to victory were Shyya Martinez and Andrew Effland. Martinez dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists, while Effland scored 18 points along with two steals. Blaes Kane was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Horizon has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Broomfield, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Horizon will be playing at home against Brighton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Broomfield, they will head out on the road to challenge Fort Collins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Fort Collins' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
